Dikita Enterprises, Inc. (www.dikita.com) is a family owned and operated company, founded by Lucious Williams on November 16, 1979 on a 90-day loan, is the oldest African American owned, award-winning engineering and consulting firm in North Texas, headquartered in Dallas. Dikita employs 50 people and has served as program, construction and project managers for educational and governmental facilities, hospitals, municipalities, public transit, aviation, roadways, and highways. Among their client base that includes Lancaster, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Dallas and Ft. Worth ISD, DFW International Airport, Dallas County, City of Dallas, Texas A&M, TxDOT, North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), and others, is a long standing 32-year relationship with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).
Lucious served as Dikita’s Founder and Organizer, President and CEO, for 30 years before passing the leadership and operations to his oldest daughter, Eve, in 2010. He currently serves as Dikita’s Chairman and Director of Government Affairs. From 1947-1951, he played second base for the Memphis Red Sox of the Negro American League. On February 24th, 2018, he was inducted into The Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame. Eve served as Dikita’s Chief Financial Officer for 27 years prior to transitioning to President & CEO in 2010. She is directly responsible for the company’s growth nationally.
Under Eve’s leadership, Dikita has won several awards over the past 40 years – with one of our most recent awards from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), North Texas Chapter, for the 2019 management of DISD’s Solar Preparatory Schools for Girls.
