Express North Parking Expansion

This $10.4M, 8-acre parking lot expansion project involved the demolition and removal of the central portion of the existing, under-utilized employee parking lot, and the creation of an additional 1,008 covered parking spaces as revenue parking facility for airport passengers. As result of a sound planning and engineering by the project team, the actual construction cost was reduced to $6.5M (a $4M saving). The scope of the project included demolition and removal/relocation of existing pavement, APM concrete track and contact rails, foundations for lights and poles, fire hydrants, signs, and small trees. Project scope also included new concrete and asphalt pavement, lighting, security fence with privacy slats, grading, drainage inlet modification, construction phasing, and pavement marking.

For the Express North Parking Expansion 8-acre parking lot expansion project Dikita provided civil engineering design, bid phase assistance, construction administration, and document control services. Deliverables included construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and personnel support for project document control.
