Texas A&M University, Stephenville, TX

1Dikita served Project Manager at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas as part of the Texas A&M University System Construction Program.
 
Central Plant Loop – The project consisted of the $12.8M extension of the existing buried heating and chilled water distribution system to serve 11 additional buildings on the campus. An additional 1000-ton chiller along with associated controls, pumps, and cooling tower cell, was installed at the existing central utility plant.
 
Dairy Center – The new $7.7M dairy center facility includes an education & research building, a rotary-type milking parlor building with holding pens and office space, cattle barn(s), a feed storage barn, and cattle working area.
 
Nursing Building – The new $24M, 64,000 SF nursing facility was designed to accommodate 400 undergraduate and 50 graduate students, 30 faculty, and at least 6 staff members. It also includes two computer labs, two large nursing skills lab (containing hospitable beds and a teaching space), nursing stations (with computerized charting and ordering system), a medication delivery system that can be accessed from both large nursing skills labs, a smaller lab to teach physical assessment, and exam rooms to mimic the reality of a hospital room environment and allow small group-simulated experiences, leaving the larger labs open for other types of learning. Dikita served as construction administrator, which included scheduling, generating and maintaining RFI’s and ASI’s, as-builts, purchasing, contracting and contract administration. Participate at owner’s meeting, coordinating with owners and design professionals, forensic re inspection for litigation purposes and project management.
 
Recreational Sports Facility – The $15M, 72,355 GSF, consisted of a two story, student activity building with three court gym, four racquetball courts, free weights, cardio theater, jogging track, activity rooms, equipment storage. Dikita served as Construction Administrator. Dikita’s tasks included scheduling, responding to RFI’s, review of shop drawings, and contract administration. Participated at team meeting, coordinating with stakeholders, and project management.
 
New Dining Hall – The $13M two-story steel structure (41,821 GSF) with brick and glass exterior and seating capacity in the main dining for 700. The facility will blend with the surrounding campus structures and have a second level connection to the Thompson Student Center. The Dining Hall will also have private dining, a production kitchen, food service offices, a cafe, and convenience store. Dikita served as construction administrator, which included scheduling, generating and maintaining RFI’s and ASI’s, asbuilts, purchasing, contracting and contract administration. Dikita coordinated with owners and design professionals, forensic inspection for litigation purposes and project management.
