Thomas Jefferson High School
Thomas Jefferson High School is among the educational institutions in the $1.6B 2015 DISD Bond Program. In 2019, the school experienced damage from an EF-3 tornado. We provided program management services, which encompassed a wide range of new construction and improvements.
To address the significant damage and pave the way for a brighter future, Dikita managed the clean-up and the new build. The construction included 13 classroom additions, a new competition gymnasium, weight room, and overall athletic improvements. Additionally, plans included building a new kitchen/cafeteria, new ROTC, engineering, culinary arts, and computer science labs, a new library, and new administration areas. Moreover, renovations were made to existing educational and visual & performing arts spaces, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements were also implemented throughout the campus. The aim was to rebuild the campus infrastructure and provide the best possible facilities for students and faculty alike.
