New Bus Procurement QA Inspection

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is a leading regional transit agency serving Dallas and twelve surrounding cities across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The system operates buses, light rail, commuter rail, and high-occupancy vehicle lanes, carrying more than 55 million riders annually.

As part of DART’s Transform initiative, Dikita is providing comprehensive in-plant inspection and quality assurance services for the manufacturing of 476 new Gillig compressed natural gas (CNG) buses. This project supports DART’s mission to enhance fleet reliability, passenger safety, and environmental performance.

Dikita’s team of professional inspectors provides continuous oversight throughout every phase of the manufacturing process—from chassis assembly to final inspection before shipment. Each bus undergoes a detailed evaluation of major components and systems, including the chassis, axles, engine, transmission, CNG fuel system, electrical and multiplex systems, HVAC, interior and exterior finishes, corrosion control, and safety features.

Our inspectors maintain real-time documentation and communication with the manufacturer, submitting daily production updates and weekly progress reports that capture quality observations, issue resolutions, and overall production status. This structured reporting process ensures transparency, accountability, and adherence to the highest standards of quality control. DART can visualize the status of production in real-time, using our best-in-class dashboard.

Through this partnership, Dikita is proud to play a vital role in modernizing DART’s fleet—supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and sustainable transit services for the Dallas community.
